Water treatment is essential for ensuring properly balanced water chemistry. When filling your Fibco pool or spa, it is crucial to correctly analyse and adjust several parameters. The result: a pool or spa filled with water that’s safe and healthy for everyone. Follow these steps to make sure you don’t forget anything.

Pentair Intellichlor saltwater system

The Pentair Intellichlor saltwater system has the advantage of using ordinary table salt to produce the electrolytic chlorine needed for a clean pool. With this technique, you can say goodbye to storing toxic chlorine, and you’ll enjoy gentle, clean, pure water in your Fibco pool. To help you master the process, here is a quick-start guide. If you have just purchased your first Intellichlor system, we recommend that you read the full instruction manual in addition to the quick-start guide.

Cleaning fibreglass

Use a damp sponge or bristled brush to scrub off any dirt, grease or sunscreen deposits. If any stains near the pool or spa edge will not wash off easily, use biodegradable home cleaning products such as Clean & Perfect, Mr. Clean Magic Eraser or specialized cleaning products sold by your pool supply store.

It is important not to use any steel wool or other abrasive metal brush or pad because the metal will damage the gelcoat finish on your pool or spa.

Maintaining and cleaning the cartridge

Over the course of the summer, your pool’s jets might seem to lose power. If you notice any loss of performance, it’s time to clean your cartridge. You also need to do this when opening the pool in the spring. This guide will help you clean the cartridge properly.
